2020 and 2021 are different year for everyone. The last Chinese students on our courses left the country with the last planes when Denmark closed down in March 2020.
We had to change strategy and cancel a number of trips and events. In collaboration with our partners, we reorganized teaching into online activities, which among other things resulted in the following:

Sino-Danish forum focuses on the well-being of children and students
What does it take to thrive in kindergarten, school and in youth education programmes? We ask Danish and Chinese teachers, experts, young people and parents in a six-hour online forum on 23 September.
"Well-being and the desire to learn" is the title of the second edition of the China Denmark Education Forum on China's online platforms – among others SOHU and NetEast
Nature Education focusing on practice
Kindergarten leader Mette Hjorth has repeatedly told about everyday life in Børnehuset Skoven - about why it is important to focus on what the children are interested in and what experiences in nature can give the children. Great with Zoom, which also works in China and opens up for dialogue, so questions are answered right away.
On a virtual tour with Benedicte Riis and Hans Christian Andersen
From North Funen to kindergarten in Shanghai, Benedicte Riis took Chinese educators and leaders on a trip with H.C. Andersen and his popular fairy tales. In five online courses, the Chinese students participated with great commitment, They sang, danced and cut creative trees, eggs, and hats led and accompanied by teacher Benedicte Riis and facilitator Ann Guo Skov.

Hans Christian Andersen Awards Scheme (February - May)
In February and March, Chinese children have been composing and drawing, recording video and painting interpretations of H.C. Andersen's fairy tale "The Bottleneck". Under the slogan “Stay healthy, stay positive, let’s keep playing”, William Theater in Hong Kong has launched an online Andersen Award ceremony targeting Chinese children and their parents. The three winners are rewarded a trip to Funen when the corona situation allows.
Seminar on reopening kindergartens (May)
Danish kindergartens were among the first to reopen. How do kindergartens do, and what do educators, parents, leaders and politicians say? One-hour video and Power Point presentation. Interview with kindergarten leader Mette Hjorth, from the kindergarten Børnehuset Skoven.

Three hours online China-Denmark Education Forum (September)
We participated in a major online forum titled "Rethink Education in the Post-Epidemic Era" on China's largest online platforms: Tencent and SOHU. More than a million Chinese watched the broadcast.

Seminar on “Nature Education” (November)
One hour video interviews from Denmark with concrete examples and interviews with teachers, a researcher, a local politician, a kindergarten leader and a musician. The Yijie Research Institute for Early Childhood Education in Shenzhen, China is behind the conference focusing on children and nature, and how children best access nature and nature experiences.
