Thanks a lot to H.C. Andersen Foundation

Good news ticked in on our email with the message that our project “Fairytales and Play Communities with inspiration from Hans Christian Andersen to kindergartens all over the world” has received a commitment from the H.C. Andersen Foundation for support. Starting this autumn, kindergarten children, along with educators, are to let their imagination run free, explore, and play their way into H.C. Andersen's universe.

Play and co-creation are key words

The idea is to develop an international and innovative pedagogical approach inspired by H.C. Andersen's fairytale world through a play-based co-creative practice. Initially, the material will be developed and co-created with educators and children in Denmark and later sent out into the world with China as the first destination. In China we already have good partners who are ready to test and co-create the material.

Three partners

The project is a collaboration between Learn for Life, and the two partners Play and Relationship Practice and Teach & Learn with HCA. The background for the project is a demand for concrete material that educators can use in everyday life as well as three years of experience in holding courses for Chinese educators, in addition to knowledge exchange with Chinese educational think tanks and various educational experts.
