Purpose:
Presentation of the Danish view on children and human nature as a possible pedagogical type of upbringing.
Educators: H.C. Andersen and Kindergarten Pedagogy
Participants gain insights into H.C. Andersen’s fairy tale world, view on children, and historical context. They gain an understanding of Danish kindergarten pedagogy and the idea of play on the children’s own terms. The fairy tale world is right here with the children – exploring it should be fun. Participants receive knowledge and examples of how play, imagination, and creativity can be co-created in kindergartens.
Family Programs: Raising joyful and trusting children
In Denmark, there is a general understanding that play on the child’s terms is essential. It is driven by joy and often has no specific goal. The best kind of play is the one initiated and shaped by the children themselves. For parents, it is about listening and showing trust – believing that the child is capable of much more than one might initially think.
Children and Leaders: Camps focused on drama, music, fairy tales, reading, film, etc.
Tailored camps that combine knowledge with activities for all the senses. Camps include visits to attractions, museums, schools, and even private homes.
Lifelong Learning – Introduction to Danish Popular Enlightenment
Key areas of focus are dannelse (formation), the whole person, and the value of strong principles and social skills. How do we create a meaningful life with the right competencies?
We place H.C. Andersen’s fairy tales in a modern context through creative exercises and workshops that bring the theories to life.
