Sixth Edition of the China–Denmark Education Forum – Once Again in China
For the sixth time, Learn for Life (Denmark) and the China Education 30 Forum (China) bring together key educational stakeholders from China and Denmark for the China–Denmark Education Forum. For the second consecutive year, the forum will be held in China—this time in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, at Four Seasons School
This year’s theme once again addresses one of the most pressing challenges facing education systems worldwide: young people’s well-being and motivation for learning. Under the headline “Combining Hand, Heart and Mind: The Key to Wellbeing and Restoring Young People’s Motivation for Learning,” the forum will explore how holistic and practice-oriented approaches can strengthen academic learning, relationships, and students’ sense of meaning and engagement.
Programme and Dates
The China–Denmark Education Forum will take place over one and a half days in February 2026:
7 February 2026
• Morning: Keynote presentations
• Afternoon: Continued presentations and a Sino-Danish roundtable discussion
8 February 2026
• Morning: Six parallel, experience-based workshops facilitated by Danish educators
Workshops Focused on Practice and Reflection
Day two features six workshops offering participants concrete insights into working with well-being, relationships, and learning. The workshop format emphasises personal reflection, small-group dialogue, and practical “aha moments”. Participants will be invited to capture the day’s key insights on a shared wall, creating a visual representation of the forum’s collective “well-being landscape.”
Looking to the Future
The aim of the China–Denmark Education Forum is for participants—and the wider Chinese audience—to return home with new perspectives, renewed dialogue, and concrete avenues for action in their work with children’s and young people’s well-being and motivation for learning. With its sixth edition, the forum continues the Sino-Danish collaboration’s ambition to build bridges between Chinese and Nordic experiences and to engage closely with national and global educational challenges related to well-being and learning motivation.
