Community! You Are Unique! Life Is a Journey...
At the Sprogense Festival in May, both children and adults shared their thoughts by writing down “good words or kind phrases.” It was Learn for Life’s first time participating, and one of the key activities at our stand was to send kind words out into the world.
Language matters. Words have power. When we share kind words, we spark smiles and joy — and we saw this happen in real time. Everyone was invited to write a kind word and take a note home — and many were genuinely moved by the words others had written.
But language isn’t only about spoken or written words. At our stand, many children expressed their thoughts through drawings. Most gladly donated their artwork to help decorate our space — and we were delighted. In fact, we dare say we had the most beautiful stand at the festival, as it gradually filled with these colorful and imaginative creations.
Afternoon Film Screening
A major highlight of the day was the screening of the Chinese film YueYue’s Denmark. Learn for Life helped facilitate the film’s creation in 2018–19, and after a long journey, it was finally ready to be shown.
The story unfolds between two worlds — Denmark (primarily Nordfyn) and China. One of the main characters, Amy, is from Bogense, as are several of the people featured in the film. This made it a natural and heartfelt choice to present the film at the festival.
We were especially honored by the presence of the Chinese producer, Mr. Meng, who traveled all the way from Beijing to Bogense to introduce the film and meet the local participants who had taken part in the production.
Thank You to All
A warm thank you to everyone who joined us for the special screening — and to all who visited our stand and brought it to life with your words, your drawings, and your presence.
