Senior pedagogues to China
We arrange stays in China for Senior pedagogues who would like to experience China and who would like to share their experiences from their pedagogical work in Denmark. In the Chinese kindergartens, the Danish Senior pedagogues will interact with the children through songs, presence and play. They will teach them Danish songs and song games, dance or draw and paint, play games, bake or prepare food. We are talking about pedagogy experience in a very broad sense. Communication primarily occurs via body language and few English expressions.
Up-close on Chinese everyday life
The Senior pedagogues get an opportunity to experience everyday life in China up-close, and they may go on excursions and go sightseeing on the weekends. Our contacts in China are very helpful in supplying proposals for leisure activities. In part, the trip strengthens the multi-cultural understanding of the children and in part, the Chinese pedagogues and teachers get new inspiration. At the same time the Danish Senior pedagogues meet the Chinese people in their own country, and they encounter a culture different from the Danish.
Win-win situation
Thus we are talking about a project that is beneficial to both countries through the knowledge and experience the parties can share as well as the personal relationships. A visit usually lasts four weeks and takes place in South China. The travel and accommodation are paid. An information meeting is held before the departure from Nordfyns Højskole.
When the corona situation is under control, Hanne Meleady along with her husband Gerry are going to a kindergarten in Changsha. She is looking forward to experiencing the Chinese kindergarten pedagogy and sharing her own experiences as a former leader of a kindergarten in Odense.
