Senior pedagogues to China
We arrange placements in China for senior educators who are eager to experience China and willing to share their pedagogical expertise from Denmark. In Chinese kindergartens, Danish senior educators interact with children through songs, presence, and play. They teach Danish songs, singing games, dances, or engage in drawing, painting, playing games, baking, and cooking. This involves pedagogical experience in a broad sense. Communication happens primarily through body language and a few English expressions. Travel and accommodation are covered.
Up-close on Chinese everyday life
Senior educators get the opportunity to experience everyday life in China up close and go on trips and sightseeing on weekends. Our local contacts in China assist with suggestions for leisure activities. The program strengthens children's multicultural understanding and provides Chinese educators with new inspiration. Likewise, Danish senior educators meet the Chinese people in their own environment and encounter a culture unfamiliar to most Danes.
Win-win situation
This is a project that benefits both countries – through the personal relationships that are built and the knowledge and experiences exchanged. Each stay typically lasts three weeks and takes place in Southern China. Travel and accommodation are fully funded. Before departure, an information meeting is held at Nordfyns Højskole.
